Stacey Fru’s parents, Dr. Emmanuel Anyefru and Victorine Mbong Shu are excited to announce that Save the Children South Africa has confirmed their daughter as their young Artist-Ambassador. Together with her team, they thank Save the Children for trusting this task in Stacey. Even though it might sound ok for many who knows that Stacey advocates herself as a Safety and Security Ambassador for children, this is a huge task for the 10 year old. She started off by visiting the Hlayisanani Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre in the Alexandra township where together with the CEO, Ms. Gugu Ndebele they spent time bonding with the children and the caregivers. She met one of the Ambassadors by the name of Bo.
For Stacey, ‘This is a unique and exciting journey. When I started writing books, I did not know that I will touch adults so much that they will make me an ambassador.’ Stacey continues that she looks forward to fostering her humanitarian stance through Save the Children and prays that she may influence more children positively. Like Save the Children, she plans to give children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. This blends well with the theme of her second book which is Safety and Security.
