BIOGRAPHY

I am a Philanthropist, Child Activist, Inspirational Speaker and 12-year-old International Multiple Award-Winning Bestselling Author of Chapter Books. I wrote my 1st book, ‘Smelly Cats’ without my parents’ knowledge at the age of 7. This book was approved by the SA Department of Basic Education as suitable for young learners from Early Childhood through to Primary Schools.

My Awards and Recognition include; ‘Smelly Cats’ as the 2016 NDA ‘Best ECD Publication 2015: Special Mention Category’, ‘Young Leader 2016’ for my leading motivational and inspirational roles, and ‘Academic Achievements and Initiatives 2016’ for my writings at the East Wave Radio Nelson Mandela International Community Day Leadership Award.

STACEY FRU

I am the youngest founding member of the Wits University Centre for Multilingual Education and Literacy in 2016. My 3rd book “Smelly Cats on Vacation” was launched on the same day as my education foundation - The Stacey Fru Foundation, through which I empower others. My 2 books; Tim's Answer and "Where Is Tammy". I write stories, essays, poems, speeches and attempts songs. I am a guitarist and a ballerina, a motivational speaker, storyteller, poet, TV talk show host, chairlady, and teacher.

The Motivator 

Stacey is a public speaker of note, who encourages others through speeches, sporadic readings and writing sessions. She writes stories, essays, poems, speeches and attempts songs. She is a storyteller, TV talk show host, chairlady/MC, Interviewer, and teacher who has helped many realise that you are never too young or too old to live your dream. By the age of 12, Stacey had given public talks to a diverse audience of over 50, 000 people in different occasions. Her first speech at age 8, was to over 877 Matric learners at the AngloGoldAshanti Career Expo 2015.

The Philanthropist

As a giver, Stacey seeks and donates items like books, computers, clothing and food through SFF to children and adults. Her foot print is seen across provinces in the country into rural areas where she has been privileged to appreciate how lucky she is.Stacey also runs free workshops for children. She has spoken 6 times at Wits University. She appears in Libraries, graduation ceremonies, festivals, book clubs, classrooms, workshops, fairs, international conferences, boardrooms, programmes, services and product launches, media, etc.

The Activist

Stacey is the voice of the voiceless. Her ambitions for the growth of the African child is extensive. She has dedicated her life to teach, motivate and encourage others through public talks, writings, and her television projects because she is disappointed that many children cannot read and write by age 9. Her focus is Child Abduction/Kidnapping, Child Trafficking, Safety and Security, Role Modelling.
